Looking into a Big Hole

There is a large construction site in oldtown Oakland that has gotten as far as digging a big hole, and then stopped.  Now they've put up a big wall around it,  and gotten students from California College of the Arts to paint murals and put quotes on it.  Here are some of the murals and quotes.  I have only included quotes which have been enhanced by passersby who added to them.  I'm into that.
