DC Version of Street Art

I'm visiting Washington DC and looking eagerly for street art and public art that's been created by individuals and community groups.  I'm disappointed to say that I haven't seen much.  These photos are of the Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian building.  I really like the building, it's layout, and what I assume to be the principles behind it, even if it's pretty far from being street art.
As you see, the building is curving, very unusually shaped, and very different from the other Smithson museums on the mall.  I think it's designed to look more like the natural world.  It is also leed certified silver,  and that's an even better thing.  There are also native plants from all over the county planted around the building, and in pots too.  Very pretty gardens and water designs.
