The Real Family Tree

Here's the new version of a neighborhood's family tree, this version was painted by @daveyoungkim and @vogue_tdk. This mural project was started over a year ago, and people in the San Pablo Ave neighborhood came forward to contribute their family photos and memories of growing up in this neighborhood. Unfortunately the first version of the photos didn't stay on the wall well, and the whole effect was, well, ugly. So it got graffitied over and obscured. I'm really happy to see that the group has tried again to put up this mural, and this time it's really beautiful. I hope that it stays up and folks leave it alone so it can beautify this neighborhood for a long time to come! While it honors those who grew up here and built community.
