The Forest is Growing

Today I got to visit the scene of a new Dragon School mural in progress.  This one is down on 10th and Jackson St, in Chinatown of course, and the lead artist is Lisa Pisa. I missed seeing the young people who were helping out because they were taking a lunch break, but that morning they attacked that wall and created the forest of bamboo you see here.

This is a snap of the designs for the panda, monkey, and dragon that are going to be in the forest.  And since is on the side wall of a tailor shop, there are going to be spools of thread throughout and a clothes line across the top of the mural.
Here's Ms Lisa working her magic and adding leaves to the bamboo forest.
I also saw one of the crew talking to a man who lived across the street about the graffiti on his wall.  After asking if the neighbor would like them to clean up the graffiti, he ran back over the with a roller and painted it over.
Smaller version of the panda who will be up on the wall.

I can almost smell the paint!
Thanks for inviting me to visit Dragon School!  I had fun and next time maybe I'll get in on the painting too! Thanks @e47art for chatting with me and telling me about this project.
Have to swing by and get a pic of the finished mural to share soon.
If you think beautifying your neighborhood and teaching local youth to value their heritage and their neighborhood is cool, be sure to kick dragon school a few bucks for supplies so they can keep doing their awesome work.
